Description:
The image changes when the viewer approaches it. As the viewer walks closer the piece shows images of a progressively less abandoned place. walking away from it has the opposite effect, rust and weeds start to appear and grow.
This piece was my response to the decay of some areas affected by the rust belt, entire cities wiped off of the map not by war but by poverty. The intent of this piece is to draw attention to the issue of what's being lost. Quintessential pillars of American culture are just forgotten and left to decay when all they need is a little attention.
